The proceeds for this print goes to the Zachary Porter fund. This painting was created by Ben Coulter, and guided by Katie Sevigny. This scene was captured by Zach himself and features his S.T.F.U. sticker, and overlooking the Hope mountain range. S.T.F.U. (Save The Fish United) is a small company owned by Zach and a group of his friends.
The Zachary Porter Fund honors and celebrates the life of a wonderful young man who leaves a meaningful impact on the community he cherished. Zach was acutely aware of how fortunate he was to grow up in Lake Bluff, valuing the benefit of attending excellent educational institutions and always grateful for the opportunity to pursue any of his many interests. Zach excelled on the baseball diamond as a player and later as a coach. He thrived on the lake, learning from and later managing the park district sailing camp on Lake Michigan each summer. As a young adult he taught himself to play guitar and was beginning to learn piano. Zach wanted other children to experience those same opportunities. The Zachary Porter Fund will help subsidize enrichment activities, including music lessons, sports, park programs, and outdoor field trips, for kids who would not otherwise have the access to the same opportunities. In the longer term, The Zachary Porter Fund aims to establish an outdoor space where animals of all kinds can take refuge and children can come to learn about the natural world that Zach so deeply valued.
