Fire And Ice Bear Skull!
Well, I'm almost done with my violin for the Anchorage Youth Orchestra! It's time to start planning my next community piece for The Fire And Ice Ball . The Annual Fire And Ice Ball is January 18, 2020 6:00 p.m. at Anchorage Downtown Marriott. This premier black-tie event is one of Anchorage’s most elegant evenings and one of Covenant Houses biggest fundraisers. It is also a special time when our community unites to end the cycle of homelessness.
When first asked by Shalem Kitter if I was interested in painting a bear skull for the event, I had to contain my excitement! I then found out there were only a total of 5 skulls to be painted and I was humbled they thought of me. I quickly gave him my cell and crossed my fingers it would come to fruition! A week went by and I hadn't heard anything, so it kinda fell off my radar. The the lovely Kimberly Hasse, event organizer extraordinaire contacted me and set the skull in motion! I'm thinking of bringing in a Day Of The Dead (Dias de Muertes) feel to my skull. What do you think?
